PRIVACY
Your family information stays for your family.
FamilyTap is a private household coordination service. It uses the minimum information needed to turn forwarded notices into events and obligations that you review.
What is stored
We store your sign-in identity, household members, the child names and optional school details you provide, forwarded notice text, uploaded files, extracted suggestions, events, obligations, and completion history. WhatsApp phone identifiers are used only in a private allowlist and are not stored with household records.
How it is used
Information is used only to operate FamilyTap. Forwarded email is received through Resend, forwarded WhatsApp text is delivered by Meta, and notice text is sent to Groq to suggest logistical actions. Groq zero-data retention is required by the application before that connection is used. Cloudflare may receive PDF files solely to extract their text. Suggestions never enter your household until a parent approves them. FamilyTap does not sell household data or use it to train its own models.
Retention and deletion
Original notice text and reviewed evidence remain until the household is deleted. Uploaded files remain until a parent removes the file or the last household member deletes the household. If one member leaves a shared household, shared records remain for the other member and the departing member’s attribution is anonymized. Provider backups and separate copies held by Resend, Meta, or Groq, or Cloudflare follow those providers’ policies and the data controls configured for this pilot.
Your choices
You can review every extracted suggestion, dismiss it, remove uploaded source files, or delete your account from Family settings. Deleting the final household account removes household records and stored files from the active service.
Email sign-in uses Supabase to store your verified email and manage your session. Deleting FamilyTap data removes your membership and app records; your email sign-in profile remains so you can start again later. Existing ChatGPT sign-ins keep their original household identity.
